Heidi Purdy is a seasoned leader with over two decades of expertise in learning and development experience in academic, corporate, government and healthcare sectors. She is renowned for her ability to identify creative solutions and efficiencies using project management, adult learning and continuous improvement strategies.

Purdy’s career is a blend of instructional design, leadership development, project management and process improvement expertise. As the human resources project manager for the State of Minnesota, she leads initiatives that solidify operational efficiency, organizational culture and workforce capabilities. Prior to this, she was a management analyst who contributed to enhancing employee engagement and streamlining internal processes.

At Hennepin Healthcare, a comprehensive integrated system of care in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Purdy managed revenue cycle education, quality programs and the business analyst and project management office. Her ability to align learning solutions with business outcomes has made her a standout leader in training strategy and execution.

Purdy’s earlier tenure at Essentia Health, a leading integrated health system, saw her rise through various roles, including technology learning and support analyst and system supervisor of revenue services training, where she championed various user-centered training programs. She has developed and facilitated e-learning courses for public, corporate and academic clients and led teams of trainers, analysts, instructional designers and PMO staff. With certifications like Six Sigma Lean Black Belt in Government, Situational Leadership and Inclusion within Leadership and Adult Learning, she demonstrates an unwavering commitment to continuous learning and people-first development.

Academically, Purdy holds a bachelor’s degree in communication from Augsburg University, graduating magna cum laude with a 3.98 GPA. Her studies emphasized emotional intelligence, interpersonal communication and cultural competency. She holds an associate’s degree and a certificate in Latin American studies from Central Lakes College, where she was active as a student senator and Spanish club president. She also holds a credit and finance diploma from St. Cloud Technical College.
